Valorant Riot ID Checker

We can't check Valorant automatically yet, so check the name in Valorant itself using the steps below. Search the other 3,450+ sites.
Tips for a good Valorant Riot ID
- Keep it short and easy to spell, so people can type it after hearing it once.
- Use the same handle everywhere you can. Check it on all 3,450+ sites before you commit.
- Add a word about your niche (art, games, food, code) if the plain name is taken, instead of random numbers.
- Avoid characters people mix up, like a double underscore or l and 1 next to each other.
- Claim it as soon as it looks available: a name that looks free today can be taken tomorrow.
In Valorant, the name other players see is your Riot ID: a game name, then a # and a tagline, like Quietfern#EUW1. The game name does not have to be unique; only the full name plus tagline does. Riot has no public profile page for outside tools, so this page gives you the official rules and the manual steps. To test the same name on other sites, use the search box.
Valorant Riot ID rules
| Game name | 3 to 16 alphanumeric characters. It does not have to be unique. |

| Changes | Free, once every 90 days. |

How to find someone on Valorant by Riot ID
Add friends in the Riot Client with their full Riot ID, game name and tagline together. Without the tagline you may reach the wrong player, because game names are not unique.
This page does not look up real names, emails or match history. For a game name used on other sites, try the full username search.
How to check a Valorant Riot ID
- Our engine has no automatic check for Riot IDs. Riot does not offer a public profile page that outside tools can read, so any site that claims to confirm a Riot ID is free is guessing.
- The reliable test is Riot itself: sign in at account.riotgames.com, open the Riot ID section, and type the game name and tagline you want. If the combination is taken, Riot shows a "this Riot ID is already in use" message.
- Because only the full name#tag must be unique, a "taken" answer usually just means you need a different tagline, not a different game name.
- To see whether the same game name is free on Discord, Twitch, Steam and other sites, use the main username search on this page.
Valorant Riot ID taken? What you can do
- Keep the game name and change the tagline. Taglines are 3 to 5 letters or numbers, so something like #FERN or #2077 often works.
- Avoid region codes in your tagline. They are reserved, and after a change you cannot return to one.
- If you want the same name on other platforms, choose a game name that also fits their rules, without spaces or symbols.
- Do not buy or share accounts to get a name; it puts the whole account at risk.
How to change your Valorant Riot ID
- Sign in at account.riotgames.com.
- Open the Riot ID section and select edit.
- Enter the new game name and tagline, then save. Riot says the change is free.
- League of Legends and TFT players on PC can also change it in the client through the Shop. You then wait 90 days before the next change.
Reserved and restricted names
Riot reserves region-code taglines (BR, LAS, LAN, OCE, NA, EUW, EUNE, TR, RU, KR, JP, PBE, BR1, LA1, LA2, OC1, NA1). Offensive or inappropriate game names and taglines are not allowed. Riot does not publish a full list of blocked words.
Tips
- Your Riot ID is shared across Riot games, so the name you pick for Valorant also shows in League of Legends and TFT.
- Friends need the full name#tag to add you. Share it exactly, including the tagline.
- With a 90-day wait between changes, check the spelling before you save.
